Afew weeks ago I was invited to the Persatuan Buddha Hilir Perak (PBHP) for a Dhamma sharing for the adults and creative workshop for the kids. I must say, I really had a good time. The title of the talk is Dhamma makes the difference. But it turned out to be a laughing session all the way. I had a terrific time expounding the Dhamma through jokes and humour.
Afew days after the talk Sister Hea, the President of this Buddhist temple informed me that she enjoyed the "laughing booms" so much.
This was my 3rd trip to this sleepy by active coastal town of Teluk Intan. You can read about my trips here and here. In return these Kalyanamitra reciprocated with a trip to my temple. You can read about it here. Teluk Intan has lost much of the young people to big cities. Leaving only the children and older folks. But you better not be fooled by these seniors because beneath those grey hairs are the shining stars.
One can never help but to appreciate and applause the dhammatduta work that these senior citizen are doing to promote the Buddha Dhamma in this town in their own unique ways. Each of them are like a bright star in the sky of Teluk Intan. When place together, they light-up the dark sky of this fishing village.
May I take this opportunity to congratulate each and everyone at PBHP for a job well done. May you find success and gain peace and harmony. May you attain spiritual progress.
