CWTA reports the total number of person-to-person SMS text messages sent in Canada during the first nine months of the year totaled 57 billion, already surpassing the 2010 full-year total of 56.4 billion messages.
In September 2011 alone, text messages sent totaled 6.7 billion, or approximately 224 million per day.
