I have a good Iranian friend by the name Seyed Jalal who have lived in Malaysia for a long time. We have been friends for 2 decades now. And there was on one occasion when I over heard a conversation between Jalal and another Iranian friend who have dropped by at Jalal's carpet shop in Kuala Lumpur
Jalal has lived and worked in Japan prior to coming to Malaysia. Hence, he knows Japan quite well too. Khamis (not his real name) the other Iranian friend who happened to have recently started working in Japan spoke of praise of this country of the raising sun.
Khamis spoke about how punctual the public system is in Japan. If the bus came late by even 5 minutes, the drive would apology to all passengers. And they even go to the extend of writing an apology letter for the passengers to show it to their bosses respectively if required. The driver himself will bow to you at least 10 times in shame for coming late. To think of it, the delay is not exactly his fault because the traffic on the road is beyond his control.
Jalal chipped in and related a story about how the people in Japan would use an umbrella during rain. And when it stopped raining, people will just hang their umbrella at the bus stop or along the fence so that when it rain again, other people can use them.
The conversation got deeper and many more examples of such good nature of the Japanese culture filled the day. Khamis then said "it's strange that in a non Islamic country like Japan, Allah do exist too". And to that, the wise Jalal replied "Allah the compassionate one loves everyone no matter if he is a Muslim or not"
I thought it's worth sharing it here. By the way, here are 10 things we can learn from Japan. Have a good day
