Sukihotu,

In Malaysia, most Christian, Hindus and Buddhist raised their own funds to build places of worship and conduct activities. I'v seen and also been involved myself in many charitable event to raise awareness and money to support these causes.

Within the Buddhist community, I'm pleased to see many of such activities. Close to me is the Dhamma Aid Cambodia (DAC). Which was operated and run single handily by one person, Mr. Lee Yu Ban. He has a huge compassionate heart for fellow Buddhists in this region. And found Cambodia a fertile ground to re-ignite Buddhism in that war torn country.

Over the last 5 years he and his friends has printed and distribute a total of 65,000 books. During the same period they have also provided 24 scholarship for monastic students of Phra Shihanouk Raja University in Phnom Penh an donated towards various projects.

Pls visit the website here to learn more of this noble deeds. And here for a short visit of Ven Chuon Bunsim Sanghapandito to Malaysia

Sadhu to Bro. Yu Ban for this meritorious action and I'm sure I speak for the rest of the Buddhist community here. You are a fine exemplary of a good Buddhist. You are an inspiration to many. Well done and may you continue with your good effort for the benefit of the Buddha sanana.
